Position overview

The Business Development manager will play a key role in expanding the company’s client base and securing new business within the technology sector. This hands-on role reports to the Head of Business Development and focuses on driving revenue by cultivating client relationships and delivering tailored consulting services. The successful candidate will be responsible for devising strategies that align with company objectives, closing deals and transitioning new clients to the sales team seamlessly.

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with the company’s target client profile.
  • Conduct thorough market research to stay ahead of industry trends and build a network through events and conferences.
  • Engage in meaningful dialogues with clients, understanding their business strategy, industry and technology needs.

Capabilities required

  • Demonstrated success in B2B consulting/services sales with experience meeting or exceeding business targets.
  • Proven background in selling technology consulting or similar services, or experience in technology recruitment.
  • Strong network of executive-level industry contacts and experience interacting with senior decision-makers.
  • Ability to discuss modern, agile and lean product development practices.
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ), strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships quickly.
  • Effective communicator with the capacity to deliver compelling presentations and manage complex negotiations.
  • Commercial acumen and strategic thinking with excellent prioritisation and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Familiarity with emerging technology trends and a keen interest in continuous learning.
