Position Overview
The Business Development Director will play a pivotal role in driving new business opportunities, acting as the bridge between the production and accounts teams. This role focuses on identifying new clients, unlocking briefs and RFPs, and contributing to the agency’s commercial growth. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic team of 80+ professionals, leveraging extensive case studies across multiple sectors, including Automotive, Consumer, Technology, Entertainment, Luxury, and Healthcare.
Core Responsibilities
- Expand the client roster by identifying new opportunities and increasing year-on-year sales and gross profit.
- Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) related to monthly meetings, received briefs, outgoing proposals, and new client onboarding.
- Take client briefs and collaborate with internal teams to develop effective responses.
- Work alongside the Commercial team and wider business to identify new opportunities that align with the agency’s strengths.
- Leverage an extensive network of global contacts in marketing and communications to expand into new sectors.
- Create and deliver compelling pitch materials, including presentations and briefing responses.
- Maintain and manage key client relationships through effective communication.
Capabilities Required
- A passion for business development and onboarding new clients.
- Minimum of 4–5 years’ experience in a similar content-agency environment.
- Strong understanding of content marketing.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Exceptional written and spoken English.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Driven by working within a world-class creative team and motivated by OTE potential.
