The Opportunity:

Join Factotum as an HR Business Partner and become a key player in delivering first-class, customer-focused HR/People services to a range of clients. This dynamic role offers the chance to make a significant impact while developing client partnerships and driving forward initiatives that enhance organisational effectiveness.

As an HRBP at Factotum, you’ll balance hands-on HR responsibilities with strategic support, providing expert advice on various HR/People matters and ensuring all actions align with UK employment legislation. This role thrives on variety—you’ll work across multiple industries, supporting growing and established businesses with tailored HR strategies that add value.

Your day-to-day might involve:

  • Acting as the go-to contact for HR/People queries and issues, guiding employees and managers through company policies and employment law.
  • Leading and supporting investigations, including disciplinary actions, grievances and redundancy processes, with meticulous documentation and strategic oversight.
  • Designing and implementing people-focused policies that align with client business objectives.
  • Managing recruitment processes, compensation and benefits queries, performance development, and other HR functions.
  • Conducting HR audits and analysing employee data to inform decision-making and proactively suggest enhancements.
  • Delivering training and workshops to clients and their teams to promote best practices.
  • Collaborating with brokers and third parties to manage employee benefits and ensure client offerings remain competitive.

About you:

You are an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-client environment. With a proactive, adaptable approach, you are skilled at navigating complexity and ambiguity while maintaining high standards of service.

It would be helpful to have:

  • A strong background (5-7 years) in HRBP roles, with robust employee relations experience.
  • Excellent communication skills—capable of handling complex conversations and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills to deliver effective solutions.
  • CIPD qualification or partial qualification (desirable but not essential).
